Unfortunately, “Link of the Week” did not happen last week, we’ll have more on that later…  But for this week, in honor of Ben Folds’ new collaborative album with Nick Hornby, Lonely Avenue, I’m posting what I think is one of the most interesting songs on the album.  It’s called “Things You Think,” and while it’s not a typical song, I think it’s pretty cool.  Some of my other favorites from the album are  “Doc Pomus,” “Claire’s Ninth,” and “From Above,”  though that’s not to say that there aren’t other good songs on the record.  I was overall a little disappointed however, and maybe that’s just because I prefer the Songs for Silverman Ben Folds over the more recent, Way to Normal Ben Folds.  But, for example, I think “Working Day” is essentially a disaster.  I didn’t think it was possible for a musician as great as Ben to clash with himself so much in a thankfully short minute and forty nine seconds, but apparently he was out to prove me wrong.  Anyway, enjoy the video, and I encourage you  to check out the album yourself. You can stream it in full right here.  P.s. sorry I couldn’t find a version without Pomplamoose talking at the end. You really dont have to watch that.
